A Subculture;

Stone Island has always been one of those brands synonymous with the football, UK pub & nightlife cultures. The iconic compass logo to the arm has made it not only a household brand name but also an icon of designer menswear.

 

From 1982 and the founding of the brand by Massimo Osti, Stone Island has seen off decades of design and fashion scrutinies to still stand strong in the menswear sector.

 

Through Otsi, Paul Harvey & now Carlo Rivetti; Stone Island has pioneered material & fabric exploriation and experimentation like no other and continues to innovate materials to this day.

 

Here are a few of my favourites:

Stone Island Pure Metal Shell 1999

One of the first uses of the Pure Metal material by Stone Island.

 

Complete with a 90's special process badge, zip and popper closure along with the iconic neck strap for those winter days.

Stone Island Pure Metal Shell 2001

This pure metal shell followed on from the 90's iterations of the jacket, first used by CP Company in the late 90's.

 

Finished with the iconic special process badge and a more modern exposed zipper.
